Professor Frances Separovic elected as Secretary of American Biophysical Society

Congratulations to Professor Frances Separovic who has been elected as Secretary of the prestigious United States Biophysical Society.

The Biophysical Society, founded in 1956, is a professional, scientific society established to encourage development and dissemination of knowledge in biophysics.

Professor Separovic, who is also Head of Chemistry at the University of Melbourne, has been a member of the society since 1985. She was elected for her "pioneering research using solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques to study the structure and dynamics of membrane-associated polypeptides.”

Professor Separovic will begin her four-year term as the society’s secretary in July next year.
