Bachelor of Science (Physics)
Country: Australia

“Since childhood I have been fascinated by how and why things around me worked. This led to a love for physics, in particular particle physics and astrophysics. The University of Melbourne was an obvious choice for my tertiary education – it is renowned for its physics research, has a great vibe around campus and offers many extracurricular outlets for those after ‘just that little bit more’.

“The best thing of my course is the breadth subject component. I’ve studied a language, communication and even a sport education subject – they help to break the study content up and add a little variety."

“I am inspired by scientists like Karl Kruszelnicki, Michael Faraday, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Edison and Geoffrey Burchfield. Once I’ve finished my degree I hope to continue further study and training in the areas of science communication, media and education. With all these combined I hope to motivate and inspire young Australians to follow their dreams and passions.”
