Parkville campus

The University of Melbourne acknowledges that Parkville campus is located on Wurundjeri land.

The University of Melbourne Parkville campus is a thriving, internationally acknowledged teaching and research community with over 30,000 students from across the globe studying in a range of undergraduate and graduate disciplines.

The Faculty of Science has a number of buildings located throughout the Parkville campus which facilitate a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, plus provide a base for the research in the pure and applied sciences.


Several residential halls and colleges are also located at or very near the Parkville campus, just a few minutes by tram from the City of Melbourne. Each college has slightly different types of undergraduate and graduate accommodation, some of which has been purpose built in the last few years.

For students moving to Melbourne to study a undergraduate or graduate degree, living at college can provide the perfect place to live and enhance studies at the University. Support from resident tutors, staff and college alumni are also available to help enhance the a students expereince and make them fell part of a thriving and supportive community.

Approximately 2km from the Central Business District of Melbourne, Parkville campus is 25 minute walk via Elizabeth and Swanston Streets.
